Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park

We spent a great day in Jackson Hole and Alpine with my cousin Carson. Carson visited us in New Zealand over Christmas so it was great to see him again and catch up with him. We began the day with a quad bike ride up Black Mountain next to Carson’s house in Alpine. We got to the top extremely dusty but exhilarated! It was both Reuben and my first time driving a quad bike, but Carson was a pro and he showed us what to do.

In the afternoon we drove up to Grand Teton National Park with Carson, and hiked from String Lake to Hidden Falls. The trail was stunning and I even saw a snake crossing my path!

After our hike we headed back to the town of Jackson Hole. I have been to Jackson Hole quite a few times to visit family, so it was fun to see some of the things I remembered – like the arches made of antlers, the candy store and the town itself.  We went out to dinner with Carson and then headed back to Alpine, which is about an hour’s drive from Jackson.

Oh, happy reunion!

Actually, I think I do remember that candy store. Don’t they have tonnes of jelly bellies? And tootsie rolls?
