We had four blissful days in Dahab, where we slept, swam, relaxed on sunbeds at the waterfront restaurants – as long as you buy something you can use the sunbeds and swim there – ate lots of yummy Egyptian food, found some good Indian food, and recharged our batteries after our travels to Jordan.

We hired snorkels from our hotel one day and walked to Eel Garden, where we were fascinated by the coral reef and hundreds of tropical fish swimming around it – we stayed in the water for ages just watching the beautiful fish! We enjoyed the laid back flavour of Dahab – the street sellers were much more chilled out than those in other parts of Egypt we visited – and we could have easily stayed longer, except we had a flight booked from Cairo to Ethiopia, so we dragged ourselves away after three nights and took a bus back to Cairo.

Looks sooo relaxing !
