We only had a day and a half in Milan, so we tried to make the most of our time. We arrived on a Sunday and went to see “The Last Supper”. This fresco is the original da Vinci painting of the Last Supper – Julie had booked this for us weeks ago as it is impossible to see without booking in advance. Although we were only allowed 20 minutes in the room (they have a very tight system) we all thought that this was fabulous. Sadly, no pictures were allowed – check it out here.

On our only full day, we headed to the Duomo (pictured above). This is the largest Gothic cathedral in Europe and very impressive! We had some gelato then walked to the Castello before heading back for a rest before dinner. Dinner was at Bella e Buona, a tiny restaurant that only seated 20 people but had incredible food – a very fitting last meal in Italy.

Wow, booking in advance + 20 minutes allowed in the room is some serious stuff O_O
