Fort Wayne, Indiana

From Chicago we headed to Fort Wayne, Indiana for a weekend of catching up with Reuben’s friends.  We stayed with Stephen, Becky and four of their children – Aleshia, Tiffany, Tyler and Trevor.  We had lots of fun catching up with them and going to the Johnny Appleseed festival.  This festival is a historic recreation of the USA in the 1800’s, with cannon demonstrations, traditional food and drink and lots of games and stalls to wander around.

Another highlight of our weekend was catching up with Dan, who Reuben lived with for 9 months in India. We had dinner one night with Dan, Kami and their daughters. After a great dinner with them we took their golf cart down to the local ice cream parlour, where we saw Amish buggies belonging to a local family.   It was really great to catch up with old friends and reconnect.
