Down by the riverside in Kampot

We spent two nights at the delightful riverside town of Kampot.  We stayed at Olly’s Place, where for the total of $5 USD a night we had our own grass shack, a communal area right on the riverfront to hang out in (pictured above) and could rent a scooter right next door.  We spent our time chilling out at Olly’s and exploring the town by scooter.

We visited the nearby river rapids where we hired a tethered inner tube (more fun than it sounds) and played in the river, snacking on cooked chicken before we headed into town and had afternoon tea at Epic Arts, an NGO who employs disabled workers.

We then scooted to try to find the salt flats we saw on a map – we didn’t manage to find them, but did find some other scenic sights!  Kampot was an excellent place to relax and not do much of anything – we loved it.
