St Louis, Missouri

While staying with Jeff and Janet, Reuben and I took a day trip to St Louis, Missouri.  Our main purpose was to see the St Louis arch, the tallest man-made monument in the United States. We watched a really interesting movie about the explorers Lewis and Clark, took a tiny elevator up the side of the arch to the viewing area at the top, and admired the view of the Mighty Mississippi River.   The arch was fascinating!

This was the size of the elevators

After our time at the arch we wandered through the streets of St Louis to the London Tearoom, where we enjoyed some hot tea (a bit of a rarity in the USA) before heading back to Morton.

Great pictures of the arch…love the angle…seems like forever ago you were here…maybe you need to make one more pass through Morton…

I’m with Kate on this one: the arch looks amazing but not the elevator!
Does it go inside the arch?

Yes, it goes up the side inside and you walk up the top!
